We're up and running in Boston, Evan has finally submitted his portfolio for Harvard and will do the same for Rhode Island School of Design over the weekend. Meanwhile Erica is recovering from a pretty bad cold and it just seems like the Boston winter wants break records for cold temperatures every day.
I'm not one to complain about cold days so much but when I walk outside in the middle of the night and breathing I can feel my nose hairs crackle and my lung follicles creak, well thats pretty damn cold. Luckily for us, Boston only gets colder and more snowy from here on out. Yeah, lucky, like a horse that breaks its leg on the track lucky. We'll survive, I'm sure, I've been told, well, its been hinted at, and I think people have thought it out, I guess...
There's this new scifi film coming out in the UK that looks amazing, up there with the fifth element and other types of ridiculously cool environment movies. Its called Franklyn and you can grab a peak at it over at firstshowing.net. I'm still not quite sure exactly what the premise of the movie will be but with landscapes that freaking cool, who needs to know. Well perhaps thats not quite warranted, the last three star wars movies to come out had ridiculous environments as well and look at them, huge receptacles of hollywood manure!
On the agenda for this weekend is a little R&R, last night's marathon portfolio creation has me yawning still and I wouldn't want to strain my already weak immune system. That being said, I'll be heading out to a boys night out tonight, in which much alcohol, racuous laughter, and primitive jokes will be partaken of. Last night was rough though. At the third picture I thought I had a pretty good pace going, only two hours had been used up and I was already through 1/3 of the project. In hindsight, only being able to finish the first third in my best two hours should have been a wake up call, but as I was up all night anyway, who really needs a wakeup call! Jeez that was tough, and I still feel like a zombie, but Harvard's is in!!!
On the wedding front Erica and I haven't done a damn thing since we've gotten back from Seattle. We truly are go go go, and then stop, stop stop stop stop.... Luckily we can get a lot done in that go period so we're still in a comfortable position. I think if we want to look at becoming a wedding photography team for some extra cash on the side we'll have to start paying a little more attention to the business sid efo that again, which I'm sure we'll get to... someday.
So the funniness has not flowed today, probably from a lack of material, but soon, soon we will be able to capitalize on health, rest and a righteous amount of insight from the two of us.
Signing off,
E
